An Artistic Garden...
Had a pretty productive morning so far. I got up just before 7 and ran for 35 minutes. Downtown, through Big Spring Park, around the Embassy Suites, across the new bridge, past the post office, and back home.
Then I worked on the flower beds for 2 hours. TWO HOURS. My legs are achy -- not from running but from 2 hours of doing squats (i.e., weeding.)
I went on the "hidden gardens of Olde Town" tour last week. I noticed a garden where a woman had painted a mural on a really ugly garage (like mine -- it's sheet metal.) Now I want art on my garage. I am not an artist, but I want something really funky. Maybe I could do funky? What I need (a-hem) is some really talented graffiti artists to take over and paint me something really cool.... Since it faces inside my fenced-in yard, I don't have to deal with the historic commission.... I suppose I should run the idea by Jeff, but if someone WANTED a really awesome spot to paint, you know, where it would be appreciated all the time, (KUNI), I know of such a spot...!

Just a thought, but calling someone out for something illegal is rather dangerous for all parties involved, no? Could cause a lot of unwanted attention... Just saying...
Um.....haha I don't practice graffiti, so I can't say that I can actually do something like that...I just draw on paper... However, I might be able to come up with something on paper, test it out on cardboard or something, and let you know if I feel capable of making your garage funky. Seeing as I'm not skilled with spray cans or paint brushes, I can't make any promises...
Shane -- totally wasn't accusing him of any illegal activity. Graffiti (called public art by some, n'est-ce pas?) is only illegal if it destroys/defaces someone's property. Not even hinting that Kuni would have done that. Only calling him out as being talented. Of course, I do remember a rather interesting essay....
Kuni -- I'd love it if you did. I might start playing with spray paint just in the knowledge that I can always turn the damn garage back to beige.
Well....with Sweeney and such going on right now, I don't have the time to come up with anything, but once it's over I'll get right on it.
If it works out great. I can't wait to see Sweeney! I'll be there Sunday.
